Gallery on 49th -- Opening Reception -- October 18, 2007

Here is the fruit of all my recent labors. A "Gallery on 49th" (street number of school) within the halls of Zoe's school. These banners were a real collaborative effort between four SCAD alumni and it was great working with them. It was such a successful Opening -- even the Savannah News www.savannahnow.com/node/378219 reported on our project!

A shot of the halls FILLED with visitors, community members, artists and students all talking about ART!

Here (in red shirt) is an Ellis student/artist/docent talking about one of my "donated" pieces.

This is Isaac talking about the photograph his Dad John made of him. Take note that Isaac is not using his prepared index cards for information on the works of art. Instead, he talked freely and knew how to speak within an artist's vernacular. I was so impressed and know that his Dad was just beaming with pride.
